MEMBERSHIP

1. Membership Application - A membership application may be mailed to the Saddle Club if you are in transit. Dues and fees will be collected upon your arrival. The club is open only to active duty military, retired military, civil service employees, and prime contractors at Vandenberg AFB.

2. Certificate of Registration - Individual certificates must be completed for each horse entering the Saddle Club herd.

3. Veterinarian Authorization - This form allows a Saddle Club Board Rep to call a vet in case of an emergency and unable to contact you. It is not mandatory to complete this form

4. Contractor Agreement - The Saddle Club allows a maximum of five (5) prime contractors as members. If you are an employee of a prime contractor, you must complete this form before your application will be considered.

5. Constitution/House Rules - Please read the Constitution and the House Rules carefully. The Constitution explains the organization and management of the Saddle Club. The House Rules set individual requirements of the members, conduct, and other important information. The attachments explain Vandenberg Air Force Base equine health rules and regulations and establish the Board of Governors responsibilities.

DIRECTIONS

From the South:

Take Hwy 101 North to Highway 246 in Buellton. Turn left and proceed for 14 miles to La Purisima Road. Turn right and continue for 2 miles. At the stoplight (Hwy 1), continue straight for 6 miles to Vandenberg AFB. At the stoplight for the Main Gate, continue straight about 3/4 mile to Corral Rd and turn right. Follow the signs to the Saddle Club.

From the North:

Take Hwy 101 to Clark Ave exit in Orcutt. Turn right at the top of the exit, and go to the on-ramp for Hwy 135 and Hwy 1. Under the overpass, turn left and enter the highway. Go 2 miles to the turn-off for Vandenberg AFB. Continue to the stoplight at the Main Gate and turn right. Go about 3/4 mile and turn right on Corral Rd. Follow the signs to the Saddle Club.

VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS

Quarantine – Your horse will stay in quarantine for 10 days.
MUST HAVE Proof of Negative Coggins Test, Deworming, Specific Immunizations, and a Current Health Certificate.
